Let me introduce myself, a man of many hats and cannabis is involved in every aspect.

My name is Trevor Paxton Lambert, certified recording and producing engineer, performing artist, media specialist, high performance producer and certified cannabis expert, check my credentials , now journalist.
I have experience in a ridiculous amount of different industries over my entire career, so many if I listed them you wouldn't believe I actually accomplished being qualified for each position, and at the same time I was working in the the legacy market, for 27 years of my life. I finally transitioned over to the legal market 2 years ago, and when I found an amazing program that enabled me to operate legally in the cannabis market, I had to enroll immediately.
At the end of the program, instead of doing a test for my finally exam, the academy gave a couple of options, one was to do a full scale business plan, plus pitch deck and present to the faculty and administration of the academy. I was in this program to be a thought leader, create employment and support the industry, in what ever way I could after I graduated, so this was perfect!

The business I choose to create was massive, it was a seed to smoke operation, within an unparalleled retail experience. It had every aspect covered, and the operations would not only produce the upper echelon of flower, but equal of quality processed cannabis products like, live resin, diamonds, oil, shatter, snap and pull etc. A $5 million dollar investment, and achieve within 5 years, an annual revenue of $10 million, it was beautiful, and still is waiting for the right moment.
I actually tried to pull a team together, so I could approach a network of investors I had developed over my life time. But finding people who were serious was extremely hard, and with the pandemic, everyone had other priorities, which was totally understandable being in the situation we all faced. So the team and dream fizzled away. I started to approach dispensaries and offer my consulting services, being fresh out of school and the uncertainties of what was going to happen in life, non of the legal ones I connected with felt they needed my assistance. So I started to work with the legacy market, some of the brands you can see on my partner page, but unfortunately most of them have dropped out of the game due to lack of funds and knowledge, or they made more money easier working in the legacy market , than it did with the regulatory system. I get it totally, I know there are operations out there, that work with legacy people just to keep their legal operations alive.

Then there was people who led me on, like a donkey chasing a bloody carrot. I had this one guy who had operations in Ontario, who had intended to expand his store fronts, and he wanted to build a LP ( Licensed Producer) operations, so he had more control over his inventory and profit margins would grow. I thought wow, finally a real contract, I am actually going to make a living doing this. But then he told me his budget and to include my rate into it, and the budget he told me was way the fuck out of the ball park, I told him I will see what I could do based on that number, but I wasn't going to be able to make some state of the art operations, and I would have to tap into my contacts that have access to liquidated operations selling everything cheap.

As an incentive, for free, I create a rough proposal for an indoor operation outlining, equipment, costs, materials, etc., not giving away the farm, but just enough to keep him and these so called partners interested. I needed to keep this guy locked, he had previously approached me to work with him, but nothing manifested, so I wanted to show him I was serious.

Then one day he calls me out of no where, I just finished the proposal and converted it to a presentation format. He tells me, one of his partners bought a huge piece of land and to change everything to outdoor, so I took another week developing, and pricing out everything for an outdoor operation base on the size and budget he wanted, I sent it off and waited for his response.
When the time came to review, it just kept getting put off, once I was able to talk to him I asked him what was going on, he made it out that he was really busy and didn't have time to go over anything,
That was my signal this is all bullshit, or at least he is.
With all the failed attempts to develop business with dispensaries and LP's, I needed to come up with something that was still within the industry, I didn't go to school for nothing. I went to school for the professional Artist management and recording industry, and just as I graduated from The Harris Institute, Napster came out, that was the end of the recording industry as we all knew it, bed room studios popped up out of no where and my internship at one of the biggest production facilities in Toronto was done, due to them closing down, I struggled for years trying to make it, DJing, Performing, making tracks, having them signed to Record labels that don't pay you, there was only one label that actual helped my SEO, that's why if you type my name in Google, you'll see who I am LMFAO.
I am not allowing that to happen now, not with cannabis, I am born on 4/20, this is my calling.

Here we are today with The Canadian Cannabis Directory, I think I found the right path now, don't you?
If you know anyone who is in the industry or uses cannabis as part of their profession, please contact me, so I can share their story.
Thanks for reading.
Keep er lit!
